  • National Honors May 2011

    As part of the National Small Business Week held annually in Washington D.C., the United States Small Business Administration recognizes the impact made by entreprenuers and small business owners across the nation.

    For 2011, J&P Khamken Industries, Inc. was chosen as SBA's Region IV Subcontractor of the Year and invited to attend National Business Week. Among ten other regional subcontractor award winners selected to attend, JPKII was honored as SBA's 2011 National Subcontractor of the Year at the Procurement Awards Banquet held on Thursday, May 19th. Board members Pat Khamken, Jack Khamken, and Dwight Howard were in attendance to receive the award.


    We would like to thank all of our employees and everyone part of the JPKII family for their contributions towards achieving such high national honors. To date, more than 1,000 contracts have had on-time or early delivery resulting in a near 100-percent track record, which couldn't have been accomplished without their hard work and dedication.

  • Employee of the Month - Bruce Villella April 2011

    It is with great pleasure to announce Bruce L. Villella as our first “Employee of the Month” from our Construction Division. Bruce was recognized by the Eglin AFB Fire Chief as a truly outstanding employee and a team player in his efforts towards the successful addition of three bays of Building 2400 of Fire Station No. 3 Eglin AFB, Florida. Fire Chief presented Bruce with a coveted “Chief’s Coin” and a special Hardhat honoring his work performed for the men and women of the fire department. His endless support of the entire construction schedule, along with his superior “get the job done” attitude solidifies his standing as Employee of the Month of March 2011.

    The Construction Division is managed by J&P Khamken Industries in conjunction with Jimmy Henderson II Construction Company Inc. of Fort Walton Beach, FL.

    Bobby Jon Drinkard from the television show On The Job goes behind the scenes of JPKII's facility operations as part of a program aiming to provide an educational and informative insight into available jobs in the state of Alabama and the required education and skills necessary to obtain these jobs and improving their lives.

  • Celebrating 10 Years December 2010

    J&P Khamken Industries, Inc. commemorated its 10th Year Anniversary at the annual Christmas banquet held the evening of December 17 at the Montgomery Country Club venue. COO Dwight Howard opened the evening by looking back on a prosperous year of growth that welcomed new faces in attendance. Deservingly, Mr. Howard proudly announced the annual recertification of the company's AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems after passing a rigorous three day inspection with an impressive score of 96/100.

    Noteworthy individuals would also be recognized. Kee Chan, Foster Brown, and Patrick Soukhamneut were each acknowledged with an Employee of the Year award for their hard work and leadership. To honor five years of devoted and faithful service, Leticia Sandre was presented with a laser etched Special Award Certificate. Employees were then presented with a special edition jacket commemorating JPKII's 10th Year Anniversary.

    Chairman Jack Khamken and CEO Pat Khamken provided closing remarks for the evening that included special guest William Barnes, Ruth Dean, Charlie Ferguson, Mike Fortune, and Gary West who were in attendance. Their faith and support as vendors and customers throughout the past decade deserves the utmost appreciation. The loyalty in these relations and the dedication in our employees is comparable to the level of pride and quality that goes into our services and products. It is with these virtues that we look forward to sustaining in the years to come.

  • Largest Single Delivery Award July 2010

    On July 15, J&P Khamken Indutries, Inc. was awarded with the company's largest single delivery order to date, valuing at $813,154.40. Details of the order request for the production of a large quantity of critical shipping and storage containers for SH-60 Helicopter Main Rotor Blades. These containers are required to pass extensive pressurization, leak inspections, and drop tests prior to approval and acceptance.

  • JPKII Christmas Party 2009 December 2009

    The annual company Christmas party was recently held, celebrating our recent official approval for AS9100 Certification and to show appreciation towards our great crew of employees for their contributions towards assembling a successful year. For this reason, a select few of our employees were acknowledged and presented awards for their exceptional and noteworthy performances for the year.

    From left to right, Darrel Beasley is announced as Employee of the Year. Tommy Khamken and Noah Bounyalith are both recognized for their dedication to long hours and co-management of the CNC department in order to meet demanding deadlines. Lastly, Vincent Buwalda is recognized for his outstanding performance and attention to detail as the "Picasso" of the manual machinist department.

    Without these leaders and everyone of the JPKII family, the company wouldn't be where it stands today. Backed by their dedication and pride to producing quality parts, we look forward to improving upon our accomplishments for the 2009 year with more success in the forthcoming year.

    Before Jack Khamken and his brother, Pat Khamken, could build their company, they had to rebuild their lives after fleeing Laos at the end of the Vietnam War with little more than the clothes they were wearing.

    U.S. Air Force MTAPPOn March 4, 2009 JPKII entered into a Continuous Improvement Program with The Asaba Group - U.S. Air Force Manufacturing Technical Assistance Production Program (MTAPP), which provides selected companies focused, hands-on Technical Assistance and Training. The MTAPP builds government and industry partnerships that work together to promote utilization/solutions.

  • New company website enhancements and features February 2009

    The revamped homepage now includes a recent news section and links to guide users directly to LMME and Manufactured Parts for part quoting. The news section will be used to track company events, awarded contracts, and other significant news. Also implemented is an Online Quote Request System that is geared towards improving the quote requesting process for Parts, Job, and Service demands.
